Bridlington Harbour

Bridlington grew as a port due to the shipping used for the exporting and importing of goods, including coal, wool, grains and cheese. With the arrival of the railway and better road links, the shipping trade declined. But this coincided with growth of seaside tourism.
Today Bridlington is one of the most successful shell fishing ports in the country, exporting to Europe and Japan.
